OPENCONNECT INTEGRATES EFUNDS CUSTOM BUSINESS APPLICATION WITH WEBCONNECT SSO IN LESS THAN 3 DAYS
eFunds Upgrades to WebConnect SSO 6.3 and Adds Additional Licenses.

DALLAS, TEXAS (April 19, 2004) — OpenConnect Systems, Inc., the pioneer of secure Mainframe-to-Web solutions, today announced that they have expanded their existing customer relationship with eFunds Corporation to include professional services development, in addition to upgrading to WebConnect Single Sign-On (SSO) 6.3 and adding product licenses.

eFunds, an industry leader in electronic payments and risk management, uses OpenConnect’s WebConnect SSO to provide their customers with secure, reliable mainframe access through their Web portal, eFunds Online. When the initial installation was completed over two years ago, custom professional services work was performed to expand the functionality of the eFunds Online portal.

Aligning with new and immediate business and security directives, eFunds required changes to the Online portal. eFunds turned to OpenConnect for assistance. OpenConnect’s Professional Services team was able to quickly get this business critical application upgraded and back up and running.

As a part of the engagement, the team also provided additional custom integration work to enhance the Web access that eFunds provides to its customers. After the success of the custom installation, eFunds is contractually extending their relationship with OpenConnect’s Professional Services team and adding more WebConnect SSO licenses.

WebConnect is client-server based software that provides secure browser-based emulation to mainframe, midrange and UNIX systems. WebConnect SSO extends the powerful features of WebConnect and facilitates the automation of secure sign-on to multiple host applications with a single mouse click. Host user ids and passwords are stored in the glass house, eliminating security issues arising from desktop stored login information.
